Teaching Piano Since 2008

Hello — I’m Ms. Lisa.

I’ve been teaching piano since 2008, and music has been a grounding, joyful part of my life since childhood. I grew up in a home where piano filled the house, shaped my confidence, and became a place of comfort and expression for me.

Today, I offer that same experience to the students I teach — a gentle, uplifting place to grow, learn, and become more confident every single week.

Why I Teach

I teach because I love watching children grow — not only as musicians, but as confident, capable people. I love the spark in a student’s eyes when something “clicks,” and the pride they feel when they accomplish something new.

Music has strengthened me in every stage of my life, and I teach to help students experience that same sense of possibility, expression, and joy.

Supporting Neurodiverse Learners

Understanding • Patience • Flexibility

Working with neurodivergent students is not just something I “accommodate” — it’s something I genuinely respect and value. I’ve spent years supporting learners with ADHD, ODD, autism, sensory needs, anxiety, depression, and children who simply think and learn differently.

Every child arrives at lessons with a different energy, mood, and capacity — and that can change from week to week. I pay attention to what each student needs in the moment, and I adjust the lesson gently and naturally so they can feel successful, calm, and capable.

Some days a child needs structure.
Some days they need encouragement.
Some days they need a challenge.
And some days the same child may need flexibility and a softer approach.
I’m comfortable adapting so each child can learn in a way that feels safe and manageable for them.

In my studio, neurodivergent learners are welcomed with open arms.
They are respected. They are understood. They are supported.

And they are celebrated for who they are — not who they “should” be.

A Teacher Who Truly Cares

My teaching begins with genuine care and respect for each child who enters my studio. I want students to feel comfortable, supported, and confident as they learn. I offer guidance, consistency, and encouragement so they can make steady progress and feel proud of their accomplishments — both at the piano and in their personal growth.

If you’re looking for a calm, supportive piano experience in St. Anthony, Idaho, I’d be honored to meet your child and help them reach their goals.
